I have been teaching in elementary classrooms around the Portland Metro area since 1981. I have taught every grade K-8. This year my job assignment is at Highland Elementary School where work half-time as the Title I Technology Teacher. I am also the co-editor for The Oregon Mathematics Teacher (TOMT), the professional journal of the Oregon Council Teachers of Mathematics (O.C.T.M.) and the webmaster for that organization as well. In my other half-time, I work as a math consultant for districts around the state, adjunct professor at Portland State University, and curriculum writer for Teacher to Teacher Publications. In the past I have been a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching awardee and in 2007 was pleased to represent Oregon's teachers as their Teacher of the Year. I'm a mother of three grown children and four grandchildren. I like to read mysteries and write in my spare time. If you have any questions about any of these responsibilities or about this web page, please feel free to send me an email message.
